Achilleion Palace is located in Gastouri village. You can get there either by bus, taxi or car if you have rented one. Although we advice you to be very careful in the summer days, becouse there is a lot of traffic and and road is diificult. Palace Overview

The palace is set among beautiful gardens,offering an amazing view towards the Halikiopoulos lagoon, Canoni, Pontikonissi, Perama, Pantocrator, and the mountains of Epirus opposite. The gardens are adorned with various statues, of which the most important is the "Dying Achilles", a work by the German sculptor Herter. Further down stands the eight-metre-high bronze statue of "Achilles Triumphant" and there are also statues of Lord Byron, of the famous hetaera Phryne, and of the empress Elizabeth herself.
