Kavos is just for the young and crazy.!!! It is not for family vacations. The first thing that to hit you when you visit the resort is the intense smell coming from the rotting black seaweed that is often washed up in the beach. A smell that most of the times is augmented by broken drains, foul toilets and a vomited main street. Gangs of youths looking for a 'laugh" give the place the hostile air of an English soccer town on match day. Expect shops selling lewd T-shirts, video bars named after TV sitcoms and lager swilling bozos trying to match IQs against sandal sizes. Men usually outnumber women about 10-1 by the way. Kavos Loation Location of Kavos Corfu Kavos resort with its five mile sandy beach and party atmosphere is on the southern tip of Corfu Greece at the edge of a flat plain with neighbouring olive groves and views across the sea to the Greek mainland and Albania. Kavos is 30 miles south of Corfu town (Kerkyra) and Corfu airport and just over a mile south of the resort of Aghios Petros (St Peters) the latter built to provide a quieter alternative to Kavos.
